Tibetan Refugees Collection

Identifier: KINDAS-ONODA-01
Dates: 1978
Description: This collection of photographs taken by Prof. Shunzo Onoda draws the lives and festivals of Tibetan refugees living in Himachal Pradesh in the late 1970s. Compared with such works as capturing children and monastic life, these photographs focus on the everyday lives of Tibetan refugees and the festivals which monks, nuns and laymen willingly participated in, and we are sure that they are important resources for researchers. Amazingly, these photographs survived the Great Hanshin Earthquake in 1995, so they remain a collection of high value.
